For this fifth drawing I combined a vintage mannequin's hand and this toy flower with the text on a trompe l'oeil piece of folded paper. I was thinking of the touch of a hand making these flowers, whilst referencing the Vanitas (brevity of life) imagery of 17th century Dutch still life painting.
